    Bachelard made us see the imagnation is a cerative strenght not contrary the rational thought, but opening the mind to discover behind objects the surreal depthn wich is the base of the world.

    The world surrounds man in a sensory bath in which he cannot escapes and if he allows himself to conform to musical flow of reality, that offers itself in a such a privileged way that only poetic words can handle them, thus becoming capable of looking below the surface by reverie. People have managed to conserve animistic customs, they still naturally feel an indestructible link between man and the world, between its words and the depth of things, between its dream and the reality. A population dating back 50000 years, the Australian aborigines have inscribed their existence in a myth where the reality of the world was upheld by a dream. For the Austalian Aborigines dream and reality come together. Variations around their beliefs sheds a different light on the division of dream and reality by positioning of images. This reflects the border between sense ans nonsense, between dream and reality, is an area of conquering space in wich each member supports the other.

    Bachelard nous a alertés sur le fait que l’imagination était une force créante ne s’opposant pas à la pensée rationnelle, mais ouvrant la possibilité pour l’esprit de déceler derrière les objets le surréel qui est le socle du monde. Le monde entoure l’Homme d’un bain sensoriel dont il ne peut s’extraire et, s’il se laisse aller à épouser le flux du réel, qui est de nature musicale et s’offre de manière privilégiée dans les mots tels que la poésie les manient. Il devient alors capable d’éprouver, par la rêverie, « le dessous de la surface ». Les peuples ayant conservé des coutumes animistes perçoivent encore naturellement ce lien indéfectible entre l’Homme et le monde, entre ses mots et la profondeur des choses, entre son rêve et la réalité.

    Un peuple vieux de 50000 ans, les aborigènes d’Australie, a inscrit son existence dans un mythe où le rêve soutient la réalité du monde. Une variation autour de ses croyances apporte un éclairage autre sur le partage entre rêve et réalité par le positionnement de l’image. La frontière entre raison et déraison, entre rêve et réalité apparaît alors pour elle-même : un espace de lutte où chaque membre soutient l’autre comme deux corps enlacés qui ne peuvent s’accrocher que l’un à l’autre.
