  • Resumen
    • The Longroiva SPA are a typical example of a new medical Spa, now recognized as such by the entities responsible for the sector, and that until this time constituted a thermal unit with local tradition in the field of hydrotherapy but always in precarious activities, because only recently your resource was classified as mineral water, after the construction of adequate abstraction to produce groundwater sulphurous relatively warm. Medical and hydrological studies were performed in an ancient thermal bathhouse adapted for the purpose, and as a result was possible to build a new thermal center completely from scratch, doing landscaping in the surrounding area of the spa, and now lies in building an eco-hotel half-buried, with geothermal utilization from geo-heat of the mineral water. In this paper, after a brief geographical setting of Longroiva medical SPA, brief history, characterization of its mineral water, among others, we present the main elements of the monitoring system and the main difficulties of implementation. The results of typical situations are presented and compared with the results in terms of quality obtained by classical physicochemical analytical control. Finally, we mention some final considerations about the advantages of implementing a monitoring system for each medical SPA.
