  • Amphibians are under attack. Climate change, habitat loss and the effects of the deadly skin disease caused by the chytrid fungus have wiped out many frog and toad populations worldwide. Here, details on the tiny, colorful toads of the Atelopus genus are presented. Atelopus timosus is one of a small number of "Lazarus" amphibian species.
