  • The article reports that the biotechnology firm Oxitec is awaiting approval to release genetically modified (GM) and antibiotic-dependent male mosquitoes into Key Haven, Florida, with the aim of reducing mosquito population in the area and preventing the outbreak of mosquito-related diseases.
