  • The article reports that the first offshore wind farm in the U.S., the Block Island Wind Farm, will start operating in November 2016 in Rhode Island. Topics discussed include the electric power capacity of the wind farm, the factors behind the U.S.' slow adoption of offshore wind power and the amount appropriated by the U.S. Department of Energy to wind farm projects in various areas of the U.S. as of 2016.
