  • The article focuses on the use of underwater microscopy in studying coral bleaching and invasive algae. It states that during coral bleaching, symbiotic algae are expelled by the coral. It comments on the Benthic Underwater Microscope which uses light emitting diodes and an electrically adjustable focusing lens to brighten coral polyps underwater.
