    El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar la problemática de la centralización del quipamiento cultural en el caso del área metropolitana de Monterrey, a partir de la discusión del proceso de gentrificación del centro histórico de la ciudad y de una incipiente configuración de distrito cultural. Este trabajo de investigación muestra la situación del usuario metropolitano en cuanto al acceso socioeconómico y al equipamiento cultural centralizado en la capital metropolitana y la inversión que este debe realizar. La metodología utilizada fue a través de la georreferenciación y de la aplicación de técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas como la encuesta y la entrevista. La principal conclusión es la necesidad de reflexionar sobre la democratización cultural en los procesos de urbanización.

    The objective of this work is showing the problematic of the centralization of cultural equipment in the case of the metropolitan area of Monterrey, related about the discussion of the gentrification process of the historical center of this city and an incipient configuration of the cultural district. This research shows he situation of the metropolitan user in relation about socio-economic access as well as the centralized cultural equipment in the metropolitan capital that it could be on time and the investment that it must be made on it. The methodology used in this project was through georeferencing and the application of the quantitative and qualitative techniques such as the surveys and the interviews. The main conclusion is the reflection on the cultural democratization in urbanization processes.
