An editorial is presented which argues that public health professionals in America need to develop more effective communications strategies in the wake of the election of businessman Donald Trump as the president of the U.S. in 2016. Trump's call for the repeal of the nation's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is examined, along with health insurance premium increases and an information crisis involving American public health. Social media, blogs, and political websites are assessed.
