The article explores work-related lung cancer from a practitioner's perspective. Particular focus is given to cancer from occupational agents including nickel compounds, silica dust, cadmium and cadmium compounds, and coal-tar. Additional topics discussed include the updated Chemical Carcinogen Policy from The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, reimbursement criteria from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for cancer screening, and the use of CT scans for cancer diagnosis.
