  • The article responds to an issue article on U.S. state laws on adolescent indoor tanning involving parental permission requirements or age restrictions. Topics include the roles of public knowledge and mass media coverage in declining adolescent indoor tanning use, the relation of age restrictions to adolescent behavior, and the classification of ultraviolet radiation from indoor tanning as a carcinogen.
