    El presente artículo pretende plantear algunas reflexiones acerca de un espacio de inserción socio ocupacional de la profesión, que constituye una experiencia relativamente joven en nuestro país. En este sentido, pretendemos dar visibilidad a una práctica profesional específica dentro la función pericial en el campo jurídico: la práctica pericial desarrollada en el contexto de encuentros familiares en el Departamento de Asistencia Social, ubicado en el Instituto Técnico Forense dentro del Poder Judicial uruguayo. Nos centraremos en las características del proceso pericial en este espacio, proceso que consideramos difiere, en ciertos aspectos, de la labor pericial que generalmente es demandada a los trabajadores sociales dentro de la institución judicial. Desarrollaremos las distintas fases del mismo; primer contacto con la situación de conflicto familiar a través de la lectura del expediente, aproximación diagnóstica y construcción de hipótesis que orientan y re orientan el proceso pericial a través de la utilización de las técnicas de entrevista y observación y finalmente la elaboración del informe pericial fundado teórica y metodológicamente. También abordaremos las implicancias éticas de este proceso

    The present article intends to raise some reflections about a field of socio - occupational insertion of the profession, which constitutes a relatively young experience in our country. In this sense, we intend to give visibility to a specific professional practice within the expert function in the legal field: the expert practice developed in the context of family meetings in the Department of Social Assistance located in the Technical Forensic Institute within the Uruguayan Judicial Branch. We will focus on the characteristics of the expert process in this context, process that we consider differs, in certain aspects, from the expert work that is usually demanded to social workers within the judicial institution. We will develop the different phases of it: first contact with the family conflictive situation through the reading of the file, diagnostic approach and construction of hypotheses that orient and reorient the expert process, through the use of interview and observation techniques and finally the preparation of the expert report based theoretically and methodologically. We will also address the ethical implications of this process.
