  • The article describes the video art "Black Celebration (A Rebellion Against the Commodity)" by post-conceptual video artist Tony Cokes. The art work is a montage of newsreel footage taken from the 1965 television news coverage of riots in several cities in the U.S. The work showed the act of looting within critical conceptions of capitalism.
