The article reports on a study that examined the impact of electronic health records (EHRs) on patient-physician interactions. Topics discussed include the development of a patient-centered best practices for EHRs that are taught to all Pritzker students at the University of Chicago and included in EHR training for medical staff and the disadvantage of EHR systems designed with billing in mind rather than patient care.
