Actualmente la historiografía se ha centrado en desarrollar las bio-grafías o a motivar el desarrollo de autobiografías, medio que permite resaltar los atributos del personaje en cuestión y cómo estos han sido aporte importante para la sociedad. Se plantea en este escrito que un conjunto de cartas que presentan ciertas características como el haber sido escritas periódicamente desde un mismo lugar en un período de unos pocos años, también pueda ser considerado una autobiografía según la mirada actual, utilizando el conjunto epistolar del sacerdote español Antonio Llidó Mengual en su estadía en Chile entre 1969 y antes de su desaparición en 1974. “Si la historia es el resultado de pretender narrar los hechos tal y como han sucedido, la metahistoria refiere a la dimensión autobiográfica, subjetiva, poética que contiene todo texto histórico"

Nowadays the historiography has centred on developing the biogra-phies or to motivating the development of autobiographies, average that allows to highlight the attributes of the personage in question and how these have been an important contribution for the company. One raises in this writing that a set of letters that present certain characteristics as the been credit written from time to time from the same place in a period of a few years, also could be considered to be an autobiography according to the current look, using the epistolary set of the Spanish priest Antonio Llidó Mengual in his demurrage in Chile between 1969 and before his disappearance in 1974. “If the history is the result of trying to narra-te the facts as they have happened, the metahistoria says to the autobiographical, subjective, poetical dimension that it contains any historical text”.
