* Six cases of unilateral knee arthrodesis are evaluated: 5 in dogs and one in a cat. In all cases, a dynamic compression plate placed cranially (D. C. P. ) was used as the main implant. Results were excellent in four cases, and a proximal tibial fracture (distal to the plate) occurred in the remaining two cases, 30 days post-operatively in one case, and 6 months postoperatively in the other. The weight of the animals ranged from 4 kg to 28 kg and the follow-up period was 18 months to 5 years.
