El diagnóstico correcto del hipotiroidismo en perros resulta esencial para poder establecer un tratamiento eficaz de la enfermedad. En este trabajo comentamos las principales pruebas utilizadas actualmente en el diagnóstico de la hipofunción tiroidea en el perro. Estas pruebas se presentan en dos grupos: pruebas de orientación diagnóstica y pruebas de diagnóstico definitivo. * The accurate diagnostic of hypothyroidism in dogs is essential for the treatment of the disease. In this work the most important assays actually used in the diagnosis of thyroid hipofunction are commented. These assays are presented in two groups: orientation diagnostic and definitive diagnostic assays.
