    La reforma de l’Estatut amplià la regulació lingüística en el context de l’objectiu de millora de l’autogovern, tot i no comportar una innovació especial en l’estatus jurídic de les llengües i en el catàleg de drets i deures ja presents a la legislació lingüística i sectorial. Amb tot, cal reconèixer que l’Estatut dotà les garanties legals preexistents de major rang, tutela i estabilitat. La STC 31/2010 avalà a grans trets la constitucionalitat d’aquest règim juridicolingüístic, encara que algunes interpretacions del TC han concitat intensos debats hermenèutics i pronunciaments posteriors tant d’aquest tribunal com de la jurisdicció ordinària sobre àmbits com el model de conjunció lingüística a l’escola catalana que posen de manifest la transcendència política del fet lingüístic i el seu caràcter evolutiu

    The reform of the Statute broadens the linguistic regulation in the context of the objective of self-government improvement, although it does not entail a special innovation in the legal status of languages and in the catalog of rights and duties already present in the linguistic and sectoral legislation. However, the Statute has provided the preexisting legal guarantees of higher rank, protection and stability. STC 31/2010 largely endorses the constitutionality of this legal-linguistic regime, although some interpretations of the TC have intensified hermeneutical debates and subsequent rulings of both this court and of ordinary jurisdiction over areas such as the model of linguistic conjunction in the Catalan school that show the political transcendence of the linguistic fact and its evolutionary character
