  • Resumen
    • Twelve subjects with a history of the red wine headache (RWH) were challenged with red wine. All experienced an RWH. A week later, the subjects were given either an inhibitor of prostaglandin synthetase (IPS) (ibuprophen, aspirin, acetaminophen) or placebo 1 h prior to wine ingestion. The two subjects who received the placebo still developed an RWH. The 10 subjects who received IPS failed to develop an RWH. The two subjects given acetaminophen developed an RWH, but later, at 6–10 h after wine ingestion.
