  • While scholars have studied focalization in the Aeneid, they have given less attention to how characters think about the mental states of other characters. Theory of Mind, however, is an especially valuable aspect of the narrative for us as teachers, because understandings and misunderstandings are so relevant to our lives and those of our students.
