Resumen de Amérique latine entre vieilles et nouvelles dépendances: le rôle de la Chine dans la dispute (inter)hégémonique

  One of the most important aspects of international political economy is the role of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) not only as a great industrial and commercial power ; but also as a technological, financial and military power, endowed with an increasing capacity to exercise power in the international organizations and in the countries of the global South. In this article, we will discuss the geopolitical and geo-economic expansion of the PRC and its trade and political relations with Latin America. In previous works, we characterized a new type of Latin American-dependent integration with categories such as the “Consensus of commodities” and the “Beijiing Consensus”. Giving the current political shift in the Latin-American countries and the growing development of tensions between China and the United States since the election of Donald Trump, we propose to review this diagnosis.

  Un des aspects les plus saillants de l’économie politique internationale est l’importance croissante de la République populaire de Chine (RPC) en tant que grande puissance non seulement industrielle et commerciale, mais aussi technologique, financière et militaire, dotée d’une capacité croissante à exercer son pouvoir au sein des organismes internationaux et sur des pays tiers, notamment sur les nations du « Sud global ». Dans cet article, nous aborderons la question de l’expansion géopolitique et géoéconomique de la RPC et de ses relations commerciales et politiques avec l’Amérique latine. Dans des travaux antérieurs, nous avons caractérisé un nouveau type d’intégration dépendante de l’Amérique latine à partir des catégories telles que le « consensus des commodities » et le « consensus de Beijing ». Face au virage politique actuel dans les pays de la région et au développement croissant des tensions entre la Chine et les États-Unis depuis l’élection de Donald Trump à la tête de la première puissance, nous proposons de réexaminer ce diagnostic.
