  • The article discusses the skepticism surrounding the fossil primate Darwinius masillae, known as Ida, and its status as the missing link in human evolution. Topics include an overview of the discovery and popularity of Ida, including a documentary on the television program the “History Channel.” Also discussed are the reasons some scientists do not believe Ida is an anthropoid, which is a family of higher primates.
