  • The article discusses the invention of the battery which is a device with two electrodes having opposite charges that connect through a circuit which carries electrons. The first battery was built by Italian scientist Alessandro Volta who wanted to tap into the power that is generated from an electric charge. Topics include an overview of how batteries maintain their charge, how a lithium-ion battery functions, and the scientific aspects of recharging batteries.
