    Este artículo presenta a un artista, escasamente conocido aún en Navarra, como es Ricardo Tejedor. Nacido en Irún en 1882, a los cinco años de edad llegó a Pamplona, de donde ya no se movería hasta su fallecimiento en 1944. Su familia estuvo muy ligada a la fonda de la estación del ferrocarril de Pamplona, que él mismo dirigiría muchos años. Artísticamente se formó en el Instituto de Pamplona, con Eduardo Carceller y en Madrid; conoció París, donde tuvo como compañero de andanzas a Salvador Bartolozzi. Asentado definitivamente en Pamplona, trabajó bastante la pintura y el dibujo hasta finales de la década de los años veinte, en que la dedicación a su negocio hostelero acabó ahogando la vocación artística. Además de sus óleos y sus variados dibujos destacan, especialmente, sus numerosas ilustraciones publicadas en Diario de Navarra.

    Artikulu hau Nafarroan gaur egun oraindik ere gutxi ezagutzen den artista bati buruzkoa da: Ricardo Tejedor. Irunen jaio zen 1882an, eta bost urterekin Iruñera iritsi zen. Han hil zen, 1944an. Prestakuntza artistikoari dagokionez, Iruñeko institutuan ikasi zuen Eduardo Carcellerrekin, baita Madrilen ere. Parisen ere izan zen, eta han Salvador Bartolozzi izan zuen ikaskide. Behin Iruñera itzulita, pintura eta marrazketa dezente landu zituen hogeiko hamarkadaren bukaerara arte. Garai hartan ostalaritzako negozioari eskaini behar izan zion dedikazioak ito zuen haren bokazio artistikoarekin. Haren olio pinturez eta askotariko marrazkiez gain, aipatzekoak dira Diario de Navarran argitaratu zizkioten ilustrazio guztiak.

    This article presents the artist Ricardo Tejedor, who is still little known in Navarra. Born in Irun in 1882, at the age of five he moved to Pamplona, where he later died in 1944. His artistic education began at the Institute of Pamplona, with Eduardo Carceller, he then went on to Madrid and later to Paris, with Salvador Bartolozzi as his companion. Established in Pamplona, he sketched and painted until the end of the twenties, when his dedication to his hospitality business finally put an end to his artistic calling. As well as his oil paintings and variety of sketches, particular mention should be made of his numerous illustrations published in the Diario de Navarra daily newspaper.
