Memoria declarativa y reconocimiento de emociones en la enfermedad de Alzheimer

    El propósito de la investigación fue caracterizar el funcionamiento de la memoria declarativa bajo la influencia y reconocimiento de las emociones en pacientes con enfermedad de Alzheimer. La investigación se basó en un diseño descriptivo-correlacional y una muestra seleccionada por un modelo no probabilístico. Participaron ochenta adultos mayores, entre sesenta y noventa y cinco años; cuarenta con diagnóstico de demencia tipo Alzheimer en estadio 1 y cuarenta con cuadro de envejecimiento normal en condición par y sin otras alteraciones mentales, físicas o neuropsicológicas. Esta investigación obtuvo resultados que favorecen la discusión con otros estudios, resaltando, a su vez, el impacto de las emociones sobre la memoria declarativa y el recuerdo de sus contenidos. Asimismo, se destacaron emociones particulares que potencian en mayor medida la cantidad de información que se busca evocar y se pone de manifiesto cómo la carga emocional influencia el momento de codificar y almacenar la información.

    The purpose of this research was characterized the operation of the declarative memory under the influence and the recognition of emotions in patients with Alzheimer's disease. The research was based on a descriptive-correlational design and a selected sample through a non-probabilistic model. Eighty adults participed, between sixty and ninety years old; forty with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's dementia in stage one, and forty with normal aging profile in pair condition without other mental, physical or neuropsychological alterations. The research shows results that are in favor of the discussion with the other studies, resulting in the impact of emotions on the declarative memory and the memory of its contents. Also, particular emotions were highlighted that enhance the amount of information that is sought out to evoke and it becomes clear how the emotional charge influences the moment of encoding and storing of the information.
