Resumen de Estudio preliminar de la longitud axial del globo ocular en un grupo poblacional de Cantabria

  Se estudian un total de 904 ojos en los que se determinan refracción esférica y longitud axial profundidad de cámara anterior por ecografía. Se estima un ALX para la muestra general de 23,41 mm. y C.A. de 3,70. Estos datos se mantienen en ambos sexos, no habiendo diferencia según O.D./O.I. En el ojo emétrope el ALX arroja valores de 22,78 con diferencia de 0,08 entre ambos ojos. La distribución según error refractivo es más o menos congruente, pero con un amplio rango de variabilidad.

  We report a study of 904 eyes in which are determined spherical refraction and axial lenght-anterior chamber depth by ecography.

  The estimated ALX for the general example is 23,41 mm. and C.A. 3,70. These data are maintained in both sexs, and ther is no difference in R.E./L.E.

  In the ametropic eye the value of ALX is 22,78 with a difference of 0,08 between both eyes. The distribution according to the refractive error is more or less congruent but with a wide variability.
