In this article the authors discuss why the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) must act quickly to evaluate nanotechnology’s potential health risks. Topics include an in-depth discussion of the good and bad aspects of nanomaterials, which are used in many applications such as drug delivery mechanisms, and the authors’ criticism of the EPA’s commitment to studying the environmental and health impact of nanomaterials.
