  • The article discusses the discovery by geologist Robert L. Folk of what he thought were nanoscale bacteria. Topics include an overview of the intensive investigations by other researchers to discover the origin of the nanobacteria, based on Folk's discovery. Also discussed are what the nanobacteria are composed of and what the nanobacteria, which are produced by mineral-protein interactions, reveal about processes that impact human health is presented.
