  • The article discusses research and development of electrical transistors that will enhance computer processing speeds and conserve energy. The proposed transistor design eliminates junctions between semiconductors and consists of a nanorod of heavily doped silicon with a current gate in the middle. Scientist Jean-Pierre Colinge and team are credited with the design.
