The article discusses various reports which are published within the issue and are concerned with the prevention of suicide among active U.S. military personnel and among U.S. veterans, including one by Conner and Bossarte on clinical services which can prevent suicide, on by McCarthy et al. on the assessment of suicidal behavior and one on an analysis of data from the National Health Interview Survey by Miller et al.
