  • The author opines regarding the dynamics of global population health, the ability of health problems to spread internationally, and the value of health promotion in distant locations for homeland health protection. The author discusses global health governance as affected by international agencies including the World Trade Organization and the so-called G8 and G20 countries that may help or undermine population health in developed and developing countries.
