• The authors discuss obesity, health disparities, and social justice and programs adopted under The California Endowment to address these issues in the state. Programs adopted to target these problems include the Healthy Eating Active Communities (HEAC) program and the Central California Regional Obesity Prevention Program (CCROPP). The programs are described and evaluated.
