  • The article reports on an increase which has been seen in the number of unmanned robotic ground and air systems that are being used by the U.S. military in military conflicts cross the globe including the Middle East in 2010. The effectiveness of the systems in urban streets and remote villages is examined. A discussion of ethical and legal issues which have been raised by the increased use of unmanned robotic systems is presented. Opposition which the U.S. military showed in previous years towards the use of the systems is discussed.
