    • The article discusses fraud and deception in science and discusses the factors that lead to it. A discussion of scientist David Goodstein's book "On Fact and Fraud: Cautionary Tales From the Front Lines of Science," which examines the factors that lead to fraud in science and discusses cases of scientific research in which fraud has been uncovered, is presented. In the article the author offers his opinions on fraud in science and on the ability that the scientific community has to limit it.
