Resumen de Undifferentiated Ethics.

Sally Lehrman

  • The article discusses moral and ethical issues associated with stem cell research. Of note is the prospect of creating gametes for human reproduction using either induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS) or embryonic stem cells. Comments made by bioethicists at the annual meeting of the International Society for Stem Cell Research are noted. The process of verifying that gametes will work normally is said to involve the growth and destruction of human embryos. Bioethicist Kazuto Kato and researcher Jan Hedge Solbakk are cited regarding the ethics of stem cell research.
