  • Resumen
    • 50 Asian youngsters from three multi‐cultural schools were interviewed to ascertain their views on a variety of personal, social and educational matters. The primary aim of the project was to investigate the nature of their cultural identities. The analysis of the data showed quite clearly that this group of teenagers are adopting some of the norms of the British society, but at the same time retaining key elements of their own cultures, e.g. language and aspects of religion. They are developing bi‐cultural identities. Muslim boys and girls were found to be more ‘religion’ orientated than Hindu and Sikh adolescents. The findings are discussed and related to previous researches in the field.
