  Since a long time, models have been mobilized to explain the crisis of use of tourist places, models mobilized to announce the future misfortunes and the actions to take to avoid this. In reality, these models feed on received ideas and negative images of tourism, while history and the detailed analysis of situations show the remarkable durability and adaptability of tourist places considered as an open socio-spatial system.

  Depuis longtemps, on a mobilisé des modèles pour expliquer la crise de fréquentation des lieux touristiques, modèles mobilisés pour annoncer les malheurs à venir et les conduites à tenir pour éviter cela. En réalité, ces modèles alimentent les idées-reçues et les images négatives du tourisme alors que l’histoire comme l’analyse fine des situations montrent la remarquable pérennité et adaptabilité des lieux touristiques, système socio-spatial ouvert.
