La breve historia a la que queremos referirnos es la relativa a la de “La mujer en la Guardia Civil”. Su aventura es breve ya que tan solo han transcurrido tres décadas desde su inicio. La perspectiva histórica adolece de bisoñez, siendo preferible, en líneas generales, poder contar con un espacio temporal más dilatado para lograr un análisis más profundo y riguroso.
De cualquier modo, nuestro acercamiento al tema en cuestión se detendrá tan solo en el período concreto de su comienzo, así como en la andadura de las dos primeras promociones de mujeres, la 94ª y la 95ª, que se formaron en la Academia de Guar- dias, en su sede de Baeza (Jaén). Si se me permite el símil, de esta joven “criatura” de 30 años de edad, una mujer cargada de ilusiones, con una gran vocación, atractiva e inteligente, solo intentaremos explorar o descubrir cómo fueron sus primeros años de vida. Así, recordaremos cómo culminaron y qué dificultades tuvieron que salvar en los períodos iniciales de su “concepción”, “embarazo”, “alumbramiento” y “lactancia” hasta llegar a dar sus primeros pasos. Otras plumas más avezadas se detendrán, con mayor precisión y elocuencia, en otros aspectos de la evolución de estas figuras, tan relevantes como sus destinos, especialidades, ascensos, hechos meritorios y un amplio etcétera.
Y como toda historia, tiene su comienzo. Vamos a conocerlo.

The brief story to which we want to refer to is related to “The woman in the Civil Guard”. The adventure is short, given that there have been only three decades since its inception. The historical perspective suffers from inexperience, being generally to be able to expect a longer timeframe to achieve a deeper and more rigorous analysis. Anyhow, our approach to the subject will only stop in the exact moment of its beginning, as well as in the journey of the first two promotions of women, the 94th and the 95th, which were formed in the Guardia Civil Academy’s headquarters in Baeza (Jaén). If we compare this young “creature” of 30 years of age - a woman full of illusions, attractive and intelligent with a strong vocation - we will only try to explore or discover her first years of life. Thus, we will remember the way women culminated and the challenges they must overcome in the initial periods of their “conception”, “pregnancy”, “birth” and “breastfeeding phase” until they walked their first steps. Other authors will analyse with greater precision and eloquence other aspects of these women’s evolution, their destinies, specialties, promotions, meritorious acts and a wide etcetera. And, given the fact that every story has a beginning, let us discover it.
