  • This analysis looks at the masonry work on the foundations and the construction of the temple of Apollo Sosiano and of the portico at the end of it and their relationship with the foundations of the temple of Bellona and the portico of Ottavia. The structures examined present a complex stratigraphy which can be divided into the various phases of a large building site which, in the last decade of the 1st century BC bore the complete reconstruction of all the area to the north of the new theatre of Marcellus. They involve many elements useful in the reconstruction of the elevation.
