Resumen de Estado de hidratação em um time de futebol profissional feminino do sul do país

    Introduction: Adequate hydration status is of utmost importance in conditions that predispose to body water deficit, such as sweat losses observed in sports. Dehydration in athletes negatively affects their cognitive capacity and motor ability, decreasing their athletic performance. Objective: to evaluate the hydration status in female athletes of a professional soccer club in Porto Alegre-RS. Methodology: Cross-sectional study with 19 female soccer athletes from the respective club, through pre and post-training weighing, evaluation of water intake during training, and habits related to hydration by a self-administered questionnaire.  Results: 55.56% of the studied athletes were classified as minimal dehydration, 44.44% well hydrated. The percentage of weight loss found was -1.00. The mean water intake was 277ml. Conclusion: More than half of the athletes presented minimal dehydration, the environmental condition may have influenced the water intake found to be much lower than the recommended one.

    Introdução: Um adequado estado de hidratação é de extrema importância em condições que predispõe ao déficit de água corporal, como as perdas pelo suor observadas na prática de esportes. A desidratação em atletas afeta negativamente a sua capacidade cognitiva e habilidade motora, diminuindo o seu desempenho físico. Objetivo: avaliar o estado de hidratação em atletas femininas de um time de futebol profissional de Porto Alegre-RS. Metodologia: Estudo transversal com 19 atletas femininas de futebol, do respectivo time, por meio da pesagem pré e pós-treino, avaliação da ingestão hídrica durante o treino, e hábitos relacionados à hidratação por meio de um questionário autoaplicável. Resultados: 55,56% das atletas estudadas foram classificadas em desidratação mínima, 44,44% bem hidratas. O percentual de perda de peso encontrado foi de -1,00. A média de ingestão hídrica foi de 277ml.
