In this article the authors discuss how visibility impacts whether women and students of color will pursue degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Topics include the percentage of women honored in embellishments of the corporate logo of internet company Google, called Google Doodles, what Google is doing to fight unconscious bias, and Google programs for women and minorities, such as Made With Code, which brings computer science education and access to girls.
