  • The article discusses the creation of a human-powered helicopter called Atlas by Canadian engineers Todd Reichert and Cameron Robertson of Toronto, for which they received the Sikorsky Prize from the American Helicopter Society (AHS) International. The author cites a paper dooming the team to futility by aeronautical engineer Antonio Filippone in the "Journal of the American Helicopter Society," compares Reichert and Robertson to Orville and Wilbur Wright, and discusses design constraints.
