  • The article looks at a study published in "Pediatrics" by researcher Ellice Lieberman and team on the effects of epidural anesthesia during childbirth on the health of the infant. They found that epidural use increased the incidence of fever in women during labor, suggesting the presence of inflammation. The severity of fever was correlated with overall poor infant health, including weak muscle tone, respiratory disorders, and seizures.
