  • The author presents information on mobile health (mHealth) technology and argues that mHealth applications could be used for biomedical research as of June 2012. Topics include cell phones and the wireless transmission of health data, the cost-effectiveness of health assessments with mobile devices, and how health practitioners and software developers should collaborate to create innovative mHealth technologies.
