  • The authors advocate the implementation of the "Next Generation Science Standards" education requirements in all 50 states of the U.S. as of August 2012. Topics include how a study carried out by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development ranked students in the U.S. 23rd out of 65 countries in science proficiency and how Massachusetts and Minnesota have strict science education requirements.
