    • The article discusses the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scanning for conducting virtual autopsies is discussed. Cause of death analysis and religious objections to dissection are discussed, as well as research into medical care and postmortem policies in Australia and the U.S. A study of intensive care unit patients in Germany, virtual imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, and the cost of the scans are mentioned. The opinions of medical examiners such as David Fowler, medical treatment of soldiers in combat, and pathologists are also discussed.
