  • The article discusses the modification of the general theory of relativity from the scientist Albert Einstein by the physicist Abhay Ashtekar to make it applicable to cosmology on a minute scale. According to the article, loop quantum gravity can be used to describe the inflation of the universe during the Planck era which followed the big bang.
