      The aim of this study was to compare the coverages of Folha de São Paulo with El País newspapers in relation to the aspects related to organization and functioning of the sportive mega event. The units of meanings defined 2 categories. The newspaper’s speech modified in face of the events during the event. First, it portrayed dissatisfaction with the event organization and subsequently predominated the news about the Brazilian capacity in executing a sportive mega event.

      O objetivo deste estudo foi comparar as coberturas dos jornais Folha de São Paulo com o El País em relação aos aspectos relativos a organização e funcionamento do megaevento esportivo. As unidades de significados definiram 2 categorias. O discurso do jornal modificava-se diante dos acontecimentos durante o evento.
