    • The article features the PharmaCheck, a device developed by scientists from Boston University as a portable and affordable tool for detecting counterfeit and improperly manufactured pills as of December 2013. The features of the device are discussed including its ability to detect the concentration of a drug's active ingredients and how fast those ingredients are released. It discusses the process of using the tool to analyze a pill and its content.
