  • The article reports that materials scientist Matthew White and his research team at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, have developed polymer light-emitting diodes (PLED) using sheets of Mylar film as of December 2013. The features of the PLEDs are discussed including its manufacturing process and flexibility. The scientists' plans to improve the energy efficiency and display characteristics of the PLEDs are also discussed.
