    • The authors reflect on the need for improved scientific literacy using the Spanish language. It states that while adopting English as a single language to communicate advances in health sciences allows faster dissemination of information, it has adverse public health effects in countries where a significant percentage of people do not speak English. It mentions in the U.S. Spanish-speaking communities tend to be excluded from the discussion of public health issues.
